What was the last thing you did for play or fun?

I wanted to start writing thinking of my run this morning but then I thought 🤔 “is this considered fun?” This question got me to sit down and contemplate on what I actually do for fun or play?

I can consider my Friday coffee in the park with the mums as fun – is it? It’s my way of winding down after a full week of work and parenting.

Reading an 800 page book in only three days because I have waited for publication one year. Actually this is my fun! I met one of my book besties, we went together for the launch and had our books signed and dedicated. This is my dorky kind of fun. Give me books and book parties and events and I will gladly attend.

Also, in October we went to see Les Miserables and I have to admit that it was the best musical I have ever seen in my life. I am not sure if anything can top this one, especially as we had tickets for the anniversary concert which featured Bradley Jayden as Javert – I don’t believe anyone played it better. I was in awe for three hours and I would go again tomorrow if I could. I cried, feeling overwhelmed by the atmosphere, music and acting. It was magnificent.
