What is the greatest gift someone could give you?
If I was asked this question a while back, I would have definitely mentioned something trivial like “my dream job”and “trust” “confidence” – while I still desire all these, I don’t consider them greatest gifts
I would say that I have already received my greatest gift and that is my daughter. She is my reason to breathe and I can tell you that I don’t see my life without her.
Yes, I remember the days before having her, I remember the fun I had and all the freedom I had when it came to making last minute decisions that involved going out and trips. The thing is, I remember them but I don’t miss them. I am not that person anymore. I am a different me and this me loves having a mini me. She is my universe. She is my everything! Yes, she is sassy and she has an attitude and she talks so much that it drives me insane at times but God, she is such a good girl and so funny and smart, witty, loving and kind.
So, she is my greatest gift and I thank God for her every day of my life π
Thank you for sharing your love of your daughter. It reminds me of M. Scott Peck’s book, “The Road Less Traveled,” with regards to love being truly a “labor of love” Be well

A child is indeed the greatest gift, and the greatest reason to thrive for higher standards. It gets complicated sometimes but it is the type of love we all don’t know exists till we have a child coming…

I did not understand unconditional love until I had my daughter.
