Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.
One of my favourite songs is TURN BACK TIME by Cher! And now I think “is it because I really wish I could?”
I don’t want to relive moments but I do want to teach myself some lessons so I can be a better person in the present time. So, I wish I could have learned certain things when I was younger. I wish I knew myself from a younger age so I could learn to prioritise me and how to say no! I wish I knew that saying no doesn’t make you a bad person or a selfish one.
I wish I knew patience and discipline. I wish I could tell my young self: “Practice makes better!” “Study! Study! Study” “DON’T BE AFRAID”
Lessons are a few I wish I would have learned sooner! I wish I would have learned sooner just how important health is! There were quite a few bad decisions I took when I was young and they haunt me to the day. I wish I learned to brush my teeth everyday, I wish I knew that skinny is not fit, I wish I knew that boys don’t trump studying, I wish I learned the value of money early in life and I wish I knew that communication is key
Even to the day I have massive issues communicating and expressing myself although, whoever knows me might think otherwise. People see me outgoing, chatty and over sharing at times but the problem is, I don’t know how to actually communicate. I don’t know how to express myself when it comes to things I want, I need … I avoid conflict (or rather an imaginary conflict) by swallowing my feelings. I give up on so many things because I just can’t talk
I wish I were brave! I wish I learned to take the risk, publish that book I was offered to write! …
The bottom line is … BE BRAVE! DON’T BE AFRAID – that is what I would teach my young self!
KNOW YOUR WORTH WOMAN!
If I met my younger self I would say: “Nobody cares about you! A job is just a job! Follow your dream and don’t be afraid of letting go!”
